The Link Ring: Our advertising department
The Link Ring started as the commerical view section of VS-TEN: We provided views from the network to advertisers who don't run a traffic exchange, but need traffic. TLR was started in late 2004, and continues to provide good volume viewing for basic site needs (up to 5,000 views per day, with over 70% uniques).
Since its start, our objective with The Link Ring was to provide a variety of ad systems. The next system added in was 'hard link publishing'. Publishers load our client code on their website, and get paid weekly, when small text ads are placed on their site by our advertisers.
TLR is also the home of the VS-TrEx "AdNet", which is a pay-per-action link network, supporting both text ads and small graphic ads (graphics less than 150x150 for main distribution... larger images get less distribution). AdNet was temporarily closed in 2008, and will be re-opening in June, 2009, to connect to the new 2.0 version of VS-TrEx.
Next on the horizon for TLR will be a co-registration feature, operated as a pay-per-action network. Participating systems will offer target sign-ups to 3rd party customers after email verification, and the publishers will be paid per unique sign-up. The target date for starting this is July/August 2009, based on the 2.1 release of Skeleton, which will be the initial client.
If you need traffic in a hurry, with a high unique rate, it would make sense to check out The Link Ring: http://thelinkring.com
